The following steps will eliminite the intro/credits screens when running BF1942 or Desert Combat. I haven't tested with SWoWW2 or RtR yet but assume it works as well.
1. Right click your game shortcut and click Properties. Make sure the "Shortcut" tab is selected.
2. Append to the end of the Target: field a space and then:
+restart 1
As an example, my Desert Combat shortcut looks like this:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" +game DesertCombat +restart 1
3. Click OK.
Repeat for each game shortcut you've got.

Do you mean when you start the game, or when loading levels? I've noticed that Desert Combat seems to take forever when loading levels and joining servers; any way to speed THAT up?

I'm talking about the inital cutscenes and crap that show before you get to the ingame menu, when you start the game up. If you want to load levels quick, get fast hard drives, and 768MB - 1GB of fast RAM, and make sure your AGP aperture size is set correctly.

Since I only played this at LANs, I never got sick of it like a lot of people did, so I'd be up for it...now finding all the discs and downloading mods to get it installed on the other hand...how's that custom installer coming?

Yeah is has the desert combat mod, but i'm not sure what expansion there is, i'd assume it has it on there. I can share it with whoever is going to be at the LAN Tomorrow. It's a classic that shouldn't die!
It also works very good on new pc's no problems except for a few of the maps freeze up. but it's a flukey thing...

We had it lock up on certain maps as well. For a while Paco had the "no play" list memorized.
