That, good sir, is for a month. I've got MOST of my problems figured out with BC2 server. I can't get the banner image to show but oh well. I'm going to do a final adjust to the map list then I'll send you all PM's with the password to connect.
REMINDER: This is a private server, capped at 16 people, and while you are MORE THAN WELCOME to join up to it and have a match in there, none of your ranks will be altered long term. You can "level up" at the LAN but that will not be a permanent level up... so make sure you're where you want to be prior to the LAN. Many of you know it doesn't take long to unlock all the basics of each class, so spend some time doing it if you haven't. Also joining the private server is a great way to practice vehicle driving. My son and I hopped in earlier and I showed him how to fly the Apache.
I'll be keeping this server for one month then probably renewing it each time we go to have a party at my place.

Map rotation (all RUSH maps):
Valparaiso
Isla Inocentes
Africa Harbor
Port Valdez
Cold War
White pass
I'm setting it to one round prior to the LAN, day of LAN it will be 2 rounds attackers/defenders swapping.

I haven't figured out how to do a mixed mode rotation yet. Don't worry, we can play some conquest maps too.

It might not be so bad with a smaller amount of people. When the server is full with all the fighting around one point, the game turns into a CoD-like kill fest. I like to move the battle elsewhere when there's a stalemate at one location.
BTW, typing FWG in the search doesn't work. FWGamers did.

I actively search for 16 player max games when I play. Except for a couple large ones, the maps aren't that big. Even then, it's fun. If you have 2, 3 person squads on each team it would be fine. It takes more skill for a squad to move between 2 points and hold them than it does to hide in a few buildings and pick the other team off as they walk by. Also, you don't die because there's someone around every corner ready to blast you in the back. Your squad comes up against another on their way to/from a flag. Whoever uses better positioning, tactics and has more skill will win a battle. If you come up against a squad and loose, you don't have to go back and face them again and loose again. You move to the other 2 flags and make them come to you. Or you come around from another direction (that's not blocked because there's not as many people) and take them from the back. It's kind of like the way L4D is the type of game that keeps you moving as opposed to Nazi Zombies where you board up and hold. Both have their fun.

Aye it is likely we will try a few conquest just to mix it up. Map recommendations?

The first couple are smaller if that's what you want.
Africa Harbour (infantry only)
Laguna Alta (APC)
Laguna Presa (APC)
Panama Canal (Tanks & APC)
White Pass (APC)

Great points. I hadn't thought of it that way. As long as we move in squads, it could be fun.
When I play online, every.single.player.is.it's.own.squad, so I just run around with my CG being an army of 1.

Alright I've got it set up for mixed mode rush & conquest now using the map list I mentioned earlier + Nacelle's recommendations. It's quick and easy to change if we find it's not to our liking as a group.

After reading Nacelle's post as well, I'm liking the idea of team work more in the game. I seemed to do too much lone wolfing and not enough tactics; hence my kill/death ratio. Havent looked in a while, but I know very well I die many more times than I get kills.

Wow, you guys really have been playing it wrong. If your squad stays together, you can really put the smack down. A sniper to throw motion sensors, an engineer to blast a wall with a RPG or fix a tank, a Soldier to lay down fire and keep everyone in ammo, and the medic to keep everyone alive. This is going to be fun with everyone on the same page.
