Problems with site e-mail feature & LAN party announcements
Posted by Reaper on Thursday, June 25, 2009 (05:10:46) (215 reads)
I still haven't gotten around to fixing the bug with registering for the site... not sure I ever really will be motivated to do that since the workaround is easy and there's much else to do. So what you need to do is after submitting an application to this site is to either send me an e-mail or be patient, I don't check the registrations daily (unless I receive an e-mail). __jj_langley__@__gmail._com__ (remove all underscores for real address). Also, if you used something "bot" looking for a registration name, chances are I'm going to deny it if I don't see an e-mail coming. I'll send you a confirmation e-mail once the account is activated, you can go in and change the password at that point or whatever you want to do.
Also, I'm going to start putting a brief LAN party announcement up for each party as it's announced since it's not like this front page sees much activity anyhow. I won't be providing any private details like phone numbers, names, or addresses, you need to be signed in to the site to see the LAN party forum that has all the details.

This article will show my guide on how to setup a multiroom DVR solution based on Linux. Work in progress.
